Due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19, right now we will only be offering the House and/or Cottage as single units through at least the end of April (two night stay minimum). The House can accommodate up to 12 guests; the Cottage up to 6 guests. This is an ideal option for those concerned about communal spaces. Please visit our bookings page HERE for current availability.
Now we're pretty flexible with guests so don't hesitate to call or email us with your questions, or travel plans if you're in town: we assure you, if you're in town and if it's not booked that day by noon, we can try to make an arrangement!

The Rattle River Lodge and Hostel sits on the Appalachian Trail against the backdrop of the Carter-Moriah Mountain Range and is gateway to the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. Built in 1877, this renovated New England colonial home on 7.4 acres does not lack for services, amenities, or modernity, while still keeping its original charm.
Our Hostel features the amenities and services for a restful stay.
The kitchen has always been the hottest spot at the Lodge!
Try one of the most challenging slackpacks on the Appalachian Trail! This famous 21-mile slackpack runs between Pinkham Notch and Rattle River Trailhead. For safety, if you think this slackpack presents too much of a challenge, then we suggest you attempt it over a period of 2 or 3 days. (We will hold any gear you don't want to carry on the slackpack.)
We love our guests and visitors! Feel free to visit us during business hours or look us up on social media! Or give us a call. If we don't answer, don't worry, just leave a message! Or send us an email via the contact form to the left.
